8:00 -8:40 -Arrival, Outdoor exploration
8:40-9:15 -Clean-up, Wash Hands - Breakfast
9:30 - 11: 40 - Open Exploration & Centers - Science, Art, Music, Cooking, story & circle.
11:40 -12:30 - Clean - up, Wash Hands, Lunch
12:30 - Mid-Day Pick Up
12:45 - 3:00- Story, Nap & Rest Time
3:00 - 4:15-Snack & Outdoor Exploration, Pickup

Open & Center Exploration
During this time child are free to explore the areas of the center. During this time staff will have a variety of learning experiences for children to engage in that will change depending on interests and development. Open ended and self exploring activities can include: art, science experiments, math, cooking, language arts and more to engage the children in all aspects of their development. Children will be encouraged to explore, experiment, practice, ask questions and encouraged to follow their own ideas.
We read stories geared towards the children's interests and the theme we are doing for the month. We gear our story time to the children's age level and abiliity. During story/circle time we also do different activities such as felt boards, letter activities and songs which are also guided by children's developmental readiness and interests.
Clean up
Clean up
As part of our philosophy at Sunnyside Adventures we encourage all our children to engage in helping to clean up their school. This helps to develop self help skills, co-operation, team work and a sense of taking care of ones environment. We do this in a fun and encouraging manner.

Sunnyside Adventures Preschool is located in Ventura, CA. We follow the Ventura Unified School District Calendar with some exceptions. Please review our holiday closures below to ensure our school will be a good fit for your family.

November - Thursday November 27th & Friday November 28th
December - Monday December 22nd - Wednesday December 31st
January - Thursday January 1st & Friday January 2nd, Monday January 19th
February - Friday February 13th & Monday February 16th
March - Monday March 30th & Tuesday March 31st
April - Wednesday April 1st to Friday April 3rd
May - Monday May 25th
June - Friday June 19th, Last day of School June 26th
July - School closes all of July.
